ARTHLEKHA ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using the Service you consent to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, mobile number, business name, GSTIN, billing address.
Customer Data: the accounting, inventory, and tax records you create or upload while using the Service.
Payment information: processed by our payment gateway partner. We do not store full card numbers or UPI credentials on our servers.
Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, and similar technical information collected automatically.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to (a) provide and maintain the Service, (b) process payments and issue invoices, (c) respond to support requests, (d) comply with legal obligations including under the Income-tax Act and the GST law, (e) detect and prevent fraud, and (f) send service-related communications. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Customer Data and account information are stored on cloud infrastructure located in India (AWS Mumbai region). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication for administrative access, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure; in the unlikely event of a breach we will notify affected users promptly.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

We share information only with: (a) our payment gateway for processing transactions, (b) infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, email delivery) acting under confidentiality obligations, (c) GST Suvidha Providers when you authorise filing of returns, and (d) law-enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how the Service is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Service may not function correctly without them.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and Customer Data for as long as your account is active. On account cancellation, data is retained for thirty (30) days to allow restoration if you change your mind, after which it is permanently deleted. Where the law requires longer retention (for example, tax records), we retain the minimum necessary for the required period.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to (a) access the personal information we hold about you, (b) request correction of inaccurate information, (c) request export of your data in a machine-readable format, and (d) request deletion of your account and data, subject to legal retention requirements. 8. Children

The Service is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
